Meet the Saffron Ventures Incoming Associates:

Saffron Ventures will be welcoming an incredible cohort of new Associates in August 2019. In the midst of the fiercest market for talent in the last decade, the majority of these new Associates accepted offers with Saffron Ventures 11 months in advance of college job offer season. They have excellent professional profiles, several near-perfect SAT scores and near-perfect undergraduate GPAs, making them competitive candidates at top companies, including the biggest global consulting firms. Moreover, two of them were past interns with Saffron Ventures and thus know exactly what we offer & value as a company. All of them are exemplary people of integrity with a team-work mindset, and we can't wait to have on the team.

I’ve rarely met an unhappy successful entrepreneur but I’ve met many unhappy successful executives of large companies and partners of consulting and banking firms.

Staff Testimonials

Annie Schools

Director of Admissions, Atlantis, Washington, D.C.

"I manage a team of Admission Coordinators, who equip future healthcare leaders to pursue their callings passionately. Working at Atlantis has been an amazing and unique opportunity. I think the company nails both mission and vision - where we competitively push ourselves to be better, while working toward a product that makes a huge difference in the lives of our students and customers. I'm excited to come to work every day because of the people I work with and the challenges we overcome and solve together; it's a great community of hard working young professionals. Atlantis is a career incubator. I think there are a lot of opportunities to grow, show initiative, and develop as an employee - and that's really fun and exciting to be apart of."

Antonio Gonzalez

Senior Associate, Saffron Ventures, Washington, D.C.

"Passionate about entrepreneurship, I help businesses develop in complex, rapidly evolving and multicultural environments. My main focus areas have been strategy, management, analysis, operations and marketing. I grew up in Spain, went to college in London, and spent 5 years in Asia managing a factory of 100+ workers in China, plus ran an internet company in India. In all these experiences, I have never worked in a community that embodied the level of rigor and density of both professionally capable and exemplary people as much as I have here at Saffron Ventures. Moved by my interest in educational programs abroad I decided to move to Washington DC, where I help Atlantis on its mission to provide life-changing international shadowing opportunities to American pre-health undergraduates and building links between the American healthcare system with global healthcare providers."

Clare Meehan

Associate, Saffron Ventures, Washington, D.C.

"My top priority as an Associate with Saffron Ventures is to identify extremely talented individuals to grow our teams. I also manage our intensive 15-18 hour application and interview process, and a hold a variety of operational responsibilities. Though I hold a degree in International Business Management, have lobbied at the United Nations in New York City, and studied in Europe with business executives at companies such as SAP, Siemens, BMW, and Estée Lauder, the learning curve I have faced here is significantly more challenging and rewarding."

Hannah Copeland

Director of Operations, Atlantis, Washington, D.C.

"I currently oversee all areas of promotion and marketing for Atlantis, and formally acted as Senior Global Operations Manager.  In 2 years here, I’ve spent 9 months traveling between 14 countries on 3 continents, made hundreds of cold calls in Spanish, hundreds more in Italian, and hired and managed hundreds of international staff. I graduated from Covenant College with a degree in Economics and Community Development as a Maclellan Scholar, and have worked at the Geneva Business School in Barcelona, Spain."

J.P. Toste

Managing Director, Saffron Ventures, Washington, D.C.

"My professional vocation is to build and grow mission-driven entrepreneurial organizations. I started and currently chair Atlantis, which primarily runs study abroad programs for US students in the field of healthcare. We are also working on new projects, all with an international dimension. These are both in healthcare education (under Atlantis) and other DC-based international projects (under Saffron Ventures). Previously, I was a management consultant at BCG and McKinsey with experience across healthcare, airlines, retail, tech, telecom, philanthropy, banking, insurance, and PE. I worked mostly in Northern Europe, but also in Southern Europe, Africa, and the US. I spent two years at Stanford for my MBA and I graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar."

Lawson Kuehnert

Executive Director, Atlantis, Washington, D.C.

"My current work is focused on a passion for developing life-changing international healthcare education programs for American pre-med and pre-health students. The Atlantis Fellowship is becoming the international program of choice for the next generation of American healthcare professionals, and we are dedicated to winning and keeping that trust: high-quality, high-impact, ethical global education. I manage Atlantis domestic and international staff to promote our mission of educating the next generation of American healthcare professionals through life-changing global programs. I graduated with honors in Economics and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I was a Rhodes Scholar Finalist and accepted to study for a M.St. in East Asian Studies at Oxford University before deciding instead to join the Atlantis Project in 2015."

Noah Walker

Senior Global Operations Manager, Atlantis, Washington, D.C.

"I love seeing new solutions or efficiencies come to market whether that's through small business, business startups, or established market leaders. In my role here, I’ve traveled to 15 countries on 4 continents, flown enough miles to go around the world 6 times, built partnerships with foreign leaders, learned to drive manual, and had the opportunity to manage dozens of incredible professionals who I learn from every day, including a Harvard MBA. I don’t know a single person my age who’s gotten a professional opportunity with this level of challenge, opportunity, and high-quality team."
